Dear Readers and Writers,

While you’ve been patiently waiting for forthcoming chapters in the serial novel, Hold Gently the Shadows, I’ve been making a crucial decision.

It has become necessary to press the pause button on my story. You see, life has caught up with me and I need to catch my breath.

You may realize from my writings that I help my adult autistic son manage his day to day life. What I haven’t publicly shared is that, for the past while, I’ve also been caregiver of an ill husband.

As you might imagine. producing a freshly-penned serial novel is a demanding process. Being in survival mode is limiting my ability to continue creating polished installments.

But I’m not going to let you down. I will complete Hold Gently the Shadows and publish it in book form when the time is right.

The characters and settings will remain reassuringly recognizable, and the plot will evolve as it should.
